My friend Lynette told me I should name my blog "The Sunday Post" so at least for today, that is what it will be called. Its nice to know there are people out there who know I post on Sundays and check to see what the Hollemans have been up to this week. I tend to think its a lot of blah blah blah, but hopefully you find it at least a little entertaining.
Most our news this week comes by way of Josh's work situation. Many of you may know he was studying like mad to get a promotion at the fire department. 1,000 people were taking the test for maybe 200-250 jobs, so when he thought he got a 93 on the test he was very disappointed. Then he found out he heard the lady wrong and really had gotten a 96, he sighed a big sigh of relief. Then a question that he had gotten wrong was thrown out to give him a total of 97 on the test and made him number 83 out of all those hundreds of people, so with in the next few months he should be moving to driving the apparatuses, mostly the ambulance. He also has gotten his degree so he went out looking for a job, and found out he had one more class to take luckily it was only a 3 day class so he found someone to hire him and he starts on Tuesday. He will start out installing sprinkler systems in buildings, and then will end up designing them with his engineering degree.
After a week full of goopy pink eyes and a couple weeks worth of coughs and runny noses all seems to be clearing up, so we hope.
Ashlyn and Jayden will meet their preschool teachers this week. And start school on the 10th. Im so looking forward to it for them and for me, but still have some jitters about the whole thing. But everyone eventually goes to school. Its part of a normal well adjusted life I keep telling myself.
Other than that we are just doing the normal stuff, spending days swimming, swinging, going to McDonalds, and sometimes having time to clean up the mess we've made during it all!!!
Oh and one other thing, I went to see Becoming Jane this week. And may I just say I LOVED IT!! If you like the extra long A&E version that is basically just like the book starring Colin Firth, (which I do) then I think you would really enjoy this. Anne Hathaway was awesome, and you can see where she gets so much of her inspiration from. So if you like that kinda thing I highly recommend it, if you don't Id say stick to something else like the Borne Ultimatum!!
FYI This was posted then I tried to add a video clip and it never reposted! Glad you mentioned it Lynette I would have never known
These are all the pictures we have taken this week, sorry!

Another week, another blog!
After such a busy week last week, I guess it's appropriate that this week was very low key. So there's "nothing to exciting" to report. Wile Josh was at work he asked Ashlyn what she was doing and she said "We are doing nothing too exciting." That about sums it up!!
We see this face a lot, and the "Family" frame in the background is a new addition. What do ya think?
I don't know if you can tell by this picture but Rylan is sitting on his own here. If he has a little support he does really well.
Swinging buddies!

A week of milestones
Well after all the begging for a new post here it is. I decided to give the people what they want. This week is probably a bit of an overload, but I hope you enjoy it anyways.
Pictures we used to update a few frames.
Well this week has been busy and full of lots of milestones both for Rylan, and for the rest of us. Rylan has learned to roll over both ways, push up higher on his arms, play with his toys, drink out of a bottle, and had his first cold. Sometimes their growth is in leaps and bounds, and that is for sure the case this week.
Ashlyn and Jayden got to have two sleepovers with their cousin Carson, and they think it is so fun. I also officially signed them up for "school" that starts in a couple weeks. They got to go pick out lunch boxes and backpacks. Ashlyn wants us to put her lunch inside the lunch box everyday.
Josh and I had our 7 year anniversary. Its hard to believe how fast time goes, and it's funny to think back on all the memories we have already shared. For our anniversary we decided to get all new items that we received at our reception since they are all pretty much worn out now. We were thinking that people should throw you a seven year itch party and get all new stuff, but I guess by now people assume your rich enough to buy it yourself. We got new pots and pans, glasses and tupperware.
We also redecorated a lot of our house. Just little touches here and there, took down some pictures and put up ones that have been sitting around forever, and updated old frames, to add pictures of Rylan (and the other pictures of Ashlyn and Jayden were 3 years old.)
So that was our week packed full of fun, hope all of you are doing great as well.

Sum, Sum Summertime
Our good friends Lynette and Ammon, (and Ashlyn's friend Carly) are moving. BOOO! The only perk and I mean the only perk is that they no longer need their swing set, so we decided we could put it to good use. They love swinging out there, but they also love the water slide. And Im loving the sanity quiet time!!!
They Say it's in the Blood!?
