Generousity

So just yesterday someone in our ward was kind enough to give us this roomba. I had casually mentioned that because Rylan's favorite past time is to eat off the floor, and even though I tried I could not keep it clean enough so I was looking into buying one of these little beauties. On ebay, even the used ones were near $50. So she told me she had one she doesnt use and that I could have it for free. So today as I was watching it zoom around my house it got me thinking. I thought about how grateful I was to this person for being so generous, and then I thought a littl more, and noticed that most the things I have in my house were given to me free of charge, out of the kindness of peoples hearts. Our house would be bare and very different looking if it werent for people who were so kind as to give us things, like couches, swing sets, dressers, desks, clothes, entertainment centers, roombas, toys and sooo sooo much more.

I had this amazing dream last night that one of my brothers was a millionare and offered to buy me this house Ive been wanting and I could pay him back instead of a bank. Of course when I awoke and found that dream was not a reality, I was a little disappointed. Its like having a dream youre about to eat some of your favorite food, and wake up foodless, and still hungry. Or that you just got the most beautiful new wardrobe, ever had those dreams? You wake up wishing you could still live in that dream world. So I havent yet run into generousity that deep yet, but seeing and being reminded of all the blessings we have been given from the hands of those around us, was a true gift of the spirit.

Anyways, I just wanted to give a little shout out to all those generous people in the world, I hope someday I will be able to give back just as much to those around me.

Hi Again

Well we've had a pretty hectic last few weeks. It feels like we have at least one doctors appointment a week. The big thing for us now is Josh has been having dizzy spells, that have been getting much worse, paired with hearing loss, and sometimes memory loss. Its weird, he'll be in the middle of a sentence and can't remember the words to finish it with. Sometimes the attacks are not so bad, and sometimes they are so bad he cant function and sometimes gets very queasy. So as you can imagine when the Ear doctor said he saw nothing wrong in the ear and that he would need an MRI we got pretty worried that it could have been a brain tumor. Luckily though we got the results back and there isnt a tumor. He was then tenitivly diagnoised with a disease called Maniere's Disease. They dont know why it stars, or have a cure, but supposedly if he watches his sodium, and sugar intake and doesnt drink caffeine, it is supposed to help. He has a few more doctors visits, to make sure and to see if there is any way to help him. So anyways, as of now we are crossing our fingers that something will help so he can continue to work, as of now the attacks are very frequent, and still getting worse.

As you know we also went and found out were having a boy, so thanks to all of you who gave us your input on his name. As for now we have a tennative name picked out, but youll have to wait a few more months to find out!!!

Other than that life is moving along, sometimes less easily as we would like, but thats how it goes right? Thats how we learn and grow, and at this point in time I am grateful that things arent worse, and hopeful they will get even better.

Its a Boy!!!

Hey everyone, its official, we went to get the ultrasound done today and its defintly a boy. Ashlyn begged to come with because her friend got to go to her moms. They are having a girl which Ashlyn really wanted, and when she found out she said "They get to have a girl" but I think going to the ultrasound made her conect with the baby anyway, and she said shes only a little sad but mostly excited. We are debating between naming the baby just Ty and Tyler. So what do you think? I know its not a big difference but to me its a huge difference. So whats you opinion? Or any other good names you can think of?

Blog book Pics

Lynette was right, I made a promise to post these and so here they are. this book was my Valentines present to myself and Josh. Its awesome and I love it!!! We cant stop looking at it and even though I wrote all the words in it, and edited the book, I still feel like every time I read it, its brand new, and a little sneak peak back into the life I was leading, Im so glad I have this, much better than a journal for me because it also includes pictures. Computers have just made life so easy!!!!!!

The pictures arent that great because the cover and pages are glossy so the flash reflects a little. The cover is a hard back with a dust jacket. This is the front cover.

Back Coverone of the inside pages... you can pick what kind of format you want your pictures and words to be in, so a lot of the pages are different.
Another inside page, I thought they might charge more for a full page of color pics, but they dont.

This is a bad picture but I was zooming in so that you could see the little details that frame the pictures. They are several of these to chose from as well. The only thing I dont like about that is you pick one for the whole book. I really wanted different backgrounds for different pages, maybe someday theyll change that.
So I know your question now is, where did I get it from the company is blurb.com. I downloaded a program that then downloads my blog for me and everything is already palced in the book. Each blog entry a new page. I then went through and decided what I wanted where, changed some formats for some pages, deleted some things, and added a couple things. It took me 2 days to edit it, not full days. It was a blast and the time flew by. Then it cost $40 after shipping for a 78 page hard cover. I thought that was a really good deal. Im sure scrapbooking it would have cost a lot more!! It took about a week maybe more after I turned it in for it to be published and arrive at my door. Man I wish I got all the commision off all of you who I know are going to be dying to do the same thing!!!!

And for those of you that dont know, this is the second post today, so make sure you check out the other one too.

A little Teaser

This is all you get this week. Hes all boy isnt he? I hope this leaves you wanting more.

Back Again

Well this week has been fairly uneventful. Mon night I went to a kindergarten preparedness class, and I can't even believe that I have a daughter that I am getting ready to put into kindergarten. I think the class was more to prepare me than her, Im sure shes ready. Thursday night I went to bunco which is always fun for me. I really enjoy that time to talk with other women on such a relaxed level. Its nice to have girl time.

The kids also had plenty to do. Lots of playdates and lots of outside time. They finally got one or two days of nice weather. Rylan also joined in the fun as he discovered the little playhouse we have out back.

This is right before Dakota jumped in the window to join in the fun.

updates

Hey again everyone, I wanted to start out by filling you in. My Dad is doing just fine, and I appreciate all of your concern and support. He's up moving around and feeling good. So I'm relieved that all is well there.
Rylan had a busy week. Tuesday I took him to an allergist to see what we could do to help him. There are some good prospects to help him overcome them, so we'll see. Then Wed he was put under to be circumcised. Things went really well. They actually give him a spinal blocker like an epidural but not quite and it really helped with the pain. When that wore off 6 hours later he got a little grumpy, until some Motrin kicked in then it was like he had never had anything done, he didn't skip a beat. So it was a nice relief to get that over with as well. Ive been telling people in the long run I think it was much less traumatic for him then it probably was for Jayden since there was so much I could give him to relieve the pain. And he wasn't awake for it. Too bad it was a hassle, and more expensive, because I actually preferred this way.
Other than that all has been well. Hope all is well with you as well.

As much as Jayden looks like Josh I would have to say this is a total Rogers boy face hes making in this picture. Gotta love it!

We watched the Miss America pageant today, as if Ashlyn needed another reason to always wear a crown!
