Well I had a lot more pictures to put on but its not working tonight, so we'll have to put them on later. So this will have to do. This week I had a lot of pic opportunities, but of course, my batteries are dead this week, what a time for that to happen!!! Yesterday we had a fire festival we went to, Josh's fire station was in a cook off. Josh made the chicken, and it won first place!!! A trophy, and some money, but unfortunately the money did not come to us but back to the station. But he was really excited. Everything else they entered which he didn't help with got last place. The fire fest was pretty fun and Ashlyn got to ride on a real horse(where pictures would come in handy). Shes been dying to ride a really horse, and when she saw the pony rides she could barely contain herself. Her and Jayden rode on the ponies, and were so cute, petting the horses as they went. After though Ashlyn asked when she could ride one that doesnt just go around in circles!! I think shes hooked
Our stake volleyball season is over, its my favorite time of the year. We didnt think we would make the playoffs but just barely squeezed in, and we were fourth so we played the number one team, and won!! Then we played for the number one spot and lost. We have been number two for three years in a row now. Josh is so supportive though, because we have to have a certain amount of girls out on the floor, and we had more girls than guys so I had to play the whole time and he came to watch the kids and sat on the sidelines, but we love friday nights.
Anyways. heres some cute pics, with more to come.

The Sunday Post: Newest Edition

Hey again everyone. Just a quick update on our week here. It was a good week, although I can't put my finger on why for sure, but I think we all were happy a lot and all I know is I remember this last week fondly. For all of you who were feeling sorry for my food situation, rest easy, I have weened Rylan and he is now exclusively on formula. I guess you can feel sorry for him now. I thought I would feel free, and relieved when I weened him, but really I feel a lot of guilt and feel like I should be provided something that Im not but to be honest I think I felt guilty for not eating well enough when I was nursing, so Im thinking maybe guilt is just a part of motherhood. He seems fine with it though, he had no worries switching over. So thats good.
We had our ward Halloween party last night. We went to our local resale shop and bought costumes there. We were prepared to run all over town for the perfect ones, but turned out the we found ones for all three of them averaging $5 each, at the first place we looked, so I cant complain. (Ashlyn's I picked up earlier) I do have pictures from last night, but I dont want to ruin the Halloween post, so youll just have to wait, but I will give you a hint. Ashlyn has three different halloween parties, school, church and actual halloween so she has three outfits planned, last night she was cinderella, then she will be "married ariel" and on Halloween she will be regular ariel -mermaid style. Jayden is Pablo from Backyardagains, (his costume was originaly $25 at Kohls, we got it for $6) and Rylan is a skunk, his costume says little stinker on the back!! When we put the costume on for the first time we were all laughing and smiling at him, he had just woken up but couldnt help but laigh back with all those people smiling at him. Hes really funny that way. He cant help but smile if he sees someone else smile, even if hes grumpy. Its hilarious. He'll smile and cry at the same time.
Other than that, not much news, hope all is well with you guys, and Ive loved all the comments, and hearing from all of you!!! Have a great week.

Two Recommendations

So I saw the movie Evan Almighty, and was a little weary at first because the first installment Bruce Almighty was a little sac religious, but this one was not what I expected. I didnt find it sac religious at all and in fact found it to be a pretty enlightening movie as to what it must have really been like for Noah. For me I always read the scriptures and think, why doesnt everyone listen, of course its gonna flood, because I know what came next, but this movie made me think of how people must of viewed him, what his wife must have gone through, and his kids, and really opened my eyes. I thought they did a really good job of making a modern day Noah story. It wasnt that funny, but I really liked it, so if you are so inclined, I think you should check it out with that in mind. It wasnt the best movie, but for that reason alone I think its worth a shot.
Also Oprah featured a book called "deliciously deceptive" or Deceptively delicious, I cant remember which one, but it was all about how you can cook with veggie purees and hide them in everyday foods like mac and cheese, chicken fingers and even cakes and cookies. I thought it looked really interesting and as soon as I buy it I want to give it a shot. So thought Id pass those two little things on...hope you enjoy!

Tag Youre It

MY HUSBAND
What is his name? Joshua, Josh, Ua, whatever you prefer
How long have you been together? We've known each other for 7 and a half years
How long did you date? A whopping 2 and a half months! And engaged for 2 and a half months! Hey, why wait when you know he's THE ONE!!

How old is he? 29 (Getting too close to 30 if you ask me. Yikes.)
Who eats more? It depends on the food and the time of day. I eat more more consistently but when hes in the mood for something look out!
Who said I love you first? He did, I was waiting for that because I did everything else first, I had to make him work for something.

Who is taller? He is of course, but thats not saying much.
Who sings better? Me of course, Im thinking of going pro. JK We both readily admit we are collectively the worst singers. You should hear FHE. Its bad!
Who is smarter? Josh by far!!! I used to think I was but he got a degree in engineering, hes really smart!!

Whose temper is worse? It's a toss up.
Who does the laundry? Whoever is looking for brownie points.
Who does the dishes? When we were dating he told me he would always do the dishes, why else do you think I married him? But since hes so busy nowadays, I do them more.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Were always changing, but for now its him.
Who pays the bills? I do
Who mows the lawn? Usually, but I did once recently, with a broken lawnmower no less.
Who cooks dinner? Do hot pockets count? Depends on the dinner, but usually him. He gets great practice at the station.

Who drives when you are together? Always Josh even on long trips, I wrangle the kids.
Who is more stubborn? We both are stubborn on certain topics, mines the kids, his is the truck he drives.
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Probably me
Whose parents do you see the most? His Dad

Who kissed who first? I kissed him. I never knew I was so forward.
Who asked who out? We never went out, it was usually him pretending we were gonna hang out with his sister and everyone would mysteriously disappear.

Who proposed? I did the day I met him, and then he did with a ring later.
Who is more sensitive? Usually me, but sometimes he surprises me by being sensitive about some random thing.

Who has more friends? I have no idea. I talk on the phone more, and go out more, but he spends all those days hanging out with guys at the fire station. He knows everyone it feels like. Nobody doesn't like Josh.

Who wears the pants in the family? Me but like I said sometimes he gets an idea in his head and thats what goes.

So now I'm supposed to "tag" others to take a turn answering this survey through email or on their blog. I am tagging Lynette, Amelia, and anyone else who feels so inclined. Thanks Nat, and I barely had to change any of the answers.

The star factory

Josh's Dad makes stars out of wood and so this year he took a chance and got a booth at the rice harvest festival, so we got to go, and party. The kids went on rides, got to buy the cutest pink parasol, and Rylan conked out. It was the perfect weather, and we had a blast!!! I even learned how to make a website this week, from scratch. Check it out...www.thestar-factory.com

The rides lasted forever, adn you can tell by Ashlyn's face even she was ready to get of it!

So much to say

Rylan is getting so observant now. He loves watching people especially his big brother and sister. He pays close attention to every move they make. As soon as he hears Josh's voice when he comes home you can tell Rylan is panning for his face and gets so excited until Josh comes and gets him. Anyways heres a picture of him and Jayden playing.

Here's some sweet pictures of the kids. Rylan loves snuggles, but if you get too close he'll try to eat your face. Hes a very slobbery baby, but he's so cute that most the time you don't notice that you are getting completely drenched.

Rylan and Jayden are finally old enough to have some matching clothes. Sooo cute. Jayden is so proud of his little brother.

Finally

Well finally this week we have some good news, well its good news for Rylan. Last week I thought we were so close to his rash going away, and then Saturday and Sunday it got so bad. So on Monday I called a dermatologist. They said they couldn't see me for a week. So I called my pediatrician back and went there instead. By now it was covering his whole body. Luckily that made it easier for them to diagnose as eczema, which he thinks is caused by an allergy to cows milk, and since I am still nursing, that means I am now off cows milk. I was surprised to look in my pantry and freezer and find that almost everything I eat has milk ingredients in it. So it is tricky, and I am craving it even more now that I cant have it. They said eczema doesn't appear until 4-5 months, and thats why even though I was always eating it, it just appeared now. On Thursday I was on the phone while making Ashlyn dinner, noodles and cheese, and made the mistake of putting a pinch of cheese in my mouth, and sure enough Fri his face flared up again. Luckily since it was such a small amount, it was better by the next day. So the good news is we have an answer, the bad news is what to do next, and thats what we'll have to wait and see. Its Josh's birthday this week, and I won't be able to eat any birthday cake, so sad!! And I had just bought some of those delicious peanut butter twix, and they will be sitting in our pantry for a while. My Dad would say thats probably a good thing.

Then all three of them got colds, and Im sure if Josh doesn't already have it he will soon.
But a little secret my friend Lindsay taught me is to put vix vapor rub on your feet with socks and it clears up your nose almost instantly, and it really works.

Jayden also finally got a hair cut. His hair is so hard to cut because it all lays in the weirdest ways. But I think it was a success.

Rylan on Tuesday. You can see how bad it still was.

This was last night you can see how much it was clearing up. Now he just looks like he has rosy cheeks again.

Before the hair cut.
